Editorial Timeline and Acceptance Rate

At NSWA, we are committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, and timely peer review process, in accordance with international publishing standards and the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

We strive to balance speed with quality by providing the following editorial timeline:

• Desk Rejection Notification (for out-of-scope or non-compliant submissions): within 5 business days.
• First Editorial Decision (including peer review feedback): within approximately 8–9 weeks of submission.
• Final Decision and Acceptance (after revisions, if applicable): typically within 15–16 weeks.
• Online Publication (for accepted manuscripts): within 5 working days after final acceptance.

We currently maintain an acceptance rate of approximately 21%, reflecting our focus on publishing high-quality and original contributions that align with the journal’s aims and scope.

Authors are encouraged to check the status of their submission through our online system and may contact the editorial office if delays exceed the expected timelines.
